Apple TV Dynamic range matching - Dolby Vision

I was having difficulty watching Apple TV+ movies using Dolby Vision.  Dark scenes were ghost like.  I was able to resolve this by setting Match Dynamic Range to OFF.  The description for this setting states that it will match the range capability of the TV.  This was not the case.  I did validate all formats which included Dolby vision but apparently the TV could not support it properly.  My TV is LG webOS UH7650 v05.30.90
