Why does Photos ask me to unlock my IOS device when it is already unlocked

I connected my iPhone X to my MacBook Pro and transferred my photos via the Photos app but it did not complete. When I next connected my iPhone, Photos asked me to unlock my iPhone even when it is already unlocked. I tried restarting both my MacBook Pro and my iPhone but problem persist.

Why ideas?

I have the same issue. Restarted both, and still get the "Please Unlock XXX's iPhone" message. MacBook Pro fully updated and iPhone 11 fully updated.

did you get this resolved? currently having same issues and apple phone support not able to fix (....as yet...!!)
