My ipad air keeps losing our home wi fi connection. All other devices connect. Please help

WiFi connection is poor Why will my iPad only stay connected to WiFi in the room next to the router? Every time I take it out it loses connection. All other devices are not having this issue. Frustrated as I have only just purchased it and can only use it in one room in the house.
