Wacom Drivers Crashing My Mac

I see I am not the only one with this issue. Install current Wacom bundle, and my computer hangs at bootup with two different versions of the driver software. The tablet still works with the ancient drivers that were already running on the system. I had to reinstall the OS twice as nothing fixes this and even safe mode won't boot. I see that this is the same issue that others were having with this. I suspect there may be in an issue with the VirtualBox kernel modules as that is where my system halts in verbose mode. I hope this is resolved before 10.16 since I got a message saying this driver will not work in future versions of MacOS.

This does say to remove the driver then reinstall it. I guess I can run another backup and try it after removing the old driver instead installing on top. I have a sneaky feeling it will crash everything again. I am not running the OS in VirtualBox, I just see that the computer crashes after loading the vbox kernel module (I believe that is what is going on). I see this when doing command-V option when booting. I might give it a shot. It is working for now.

It crashes my MacBook with the latest version as well. That version is said to be compatible with 10.15 (Catalina).

If you are trying to run this through VirtualBox (?)

It would be interesting to test this against a trial version of Parallels Desktop and see if the issue resolves

See if there is anything here:

The alternative of course would be to fall back and revert your mocOS if it is mission critical to your work flow.
