I have updated my iPad mini 2019 two days ago and battery is practically worst ever. By browsing only drops 1% per minute. Anyone experiencing same problem?

After putting in a few hours of research trying to figure out this issue someone recommended checking battery usage of apps and sure enough Siri was running 100%..!..It was suggested to completely turn off Siri on the device and also on iCloud, which I did and it completely fixed the issue immediately.
I was even having Issues with it charging quickly and those issues are also gone.
I believe that the update definitely effected how Siri runs in the background and I suggest you try the same to see if it works for you.
Like other suggested, reset the apps and settings seems prudent. I have an iPad Pro 12.9 and it does not have problems and sitting unused for days does not drain it hardly at all.
If any part of your device is becoming hot, this would certainly result in poor battery life.
Heat = Electrical/Thermal Energy = High Battery Consumption
That's the reason i already wrote mine... do the same describe the issue and send the feedback to them. Lets hope that helps.
Starting today I turned off Siri completely. Let’s see the end of the day... but 4 mins Safari costed me 8% so I am not convinced so far :(
Everyone please send feedback, it takes 30sec and can help us all!
Please update your iPhone 11 pro to 13.5 .
All my battery and over heating issues was fixed with this update. I hope it will get fixed with your phone too after this update
Yes, turning it OFF and ON again is a basic trouble shooting step most people know about,
and no it did NOT fix the issue. Battery drain is still a problem on my iPad.
I updated my iPhone XS Max and it does not exhibit the same problem.
Both devices were charged at the same time overnight and used about the same amount of time today:
for the last 18 months the battery performance has always been within 5% over a 24 hour period.
FYI: I have a degree in Applied Computing and one in Computer Science and have worked as a computer engineer and QA
specialist for over 20 years, I know when a OS or firmware update changes the operation of a device and Apple has missed something this time around, please be up upfront and just admit an error was made and fix it.
Thanks,
Alf.
You might br surprised to learn that most common users here do not know anything about these iOS device reset procedures and many of the other iOS device troubleshooting techniques and other Settings modifications.

I have an 8+ phone and a mini 4 iPad. I usually don’t have a problem updating either. Moving to iOS 13 on the phone gave me some battery drop for a couple days and it corrected itself. I resisted updating the iPad for months and finally caved. I know it would have to be updated sometime so I did it and have had battery problems immediately and since. I’ve been through all updates since with hope it will fix, but no luck. Been through all the supposed fixes, which is pretty much crap as they don’t fix programming problems, and have deleted some apps. still at 20% drop per hour of usage. Safari, Netflix, YouTube, eBay, does not matter, drain is almost double what it was.. battery has dropped 5% since I got on this thread. I just downloaded 13.4.1, will install later. We’ll see. I truly think Apple created this problem and wish they would address it. Battery drain was always the horror story of updating, it bit me in the *** now. I didn’t develop a hardware problem coincidentally with the update, unless the update created the problem.
I phone XS experiencing massive battery drain after installing iOS 13.4.1. Be advised NOT to update to this iOS if you like your battery to last 12 hours. I can sit my phone down while on house WiFi at 8AM and pick it up around 7pm and it’s below 10%. That is a huge fail and is abnormal for my iPhone. No settings were changed since last iOS.

Partial charging can erode capacity.
Unlike some other battery chemistries (such a NiCad), partial charge/discharge of Li-ion batteries has no adverse effect on battery longevity. Allowing batteries to remain in a state of low-charge, by contrast, will damage a Li-ion battery.
I recharge the iPad and iPhone back to 100% after letting them shut down for lack of power. The goal for the phone is also for the battery manager to be able to see how much real power remains.
I am disappointed that Apple does not offer the same battery management on the iPad.
I downloaded the update. Day 1 after update battery life was down from 100% to 23% in 45 minutes of normal use. Day 2 my phone wouldn’t charge past 73%. Day 3 phone won’t charge past 9%. Serious iOS update issue. Coincidental that the iPhone 11 is soon to release?!

The iPhone 11 was introduced September 20, 2019, long before iOS 13.4.1.
Having similar issues here but not just with the iPad Pro but with the 2nd Gen Pencil too. Getting approx 10% per hour battery drop with brightness at around 25% & the Pencil is not lasting an hour where as before the update, I could use the Pencil all day long without it dropping below 20%. Both devices are 8 weeks old & bought brand new! Pencil already replaced once instore as the first tip didn’t even last 20 minutes of usage before splitting!!! Add in that one of my Air Pod 2 ear pieces now only gives out a whisper at full volume after 3 & half months of use, doesn’t bode well for my confidence in Apple products at the moment! The only device of mine that seems to be ok is my 11 Pro Max! The wife seems to have problems with her 7th Gen iPad & 1st Gen Pencil connectivity as it keeps dropping randomly during use (battery levels are fine). I have had connectivity issues with iPadOS 13.4 & 13.4.1 With the iPad Pro & 2nd Gen Pencil myself (seems to be a lot of issues with Pencil connectivity after searching online & reading articles on Apple News with 13.4.x). If the next update doesn’t resolve the problems, I will be going back to Microsoft Surface devices on my next upgrade cycle (unless I sell the iPad’s & Pencil’s) as NEVER had a problem with those.
