Spell checker

The spell checker is driving me mad. If I go back & insert a missing letter at the beginning of a word which is in the middle of a sentence it insists on putting in a capital letter. Also it corrects my spelling but leaves the incorrect spelling in the sentence as well. Is there a way to fix this please.

Spellcheck doesn't work Spell check doesn't work. The red wavy line under a misspelled word is not displayed. Correction is not offered in the context menu either. IIf I have English set as the primary language it's OK, if I set Czech (in my case) the check doesn't work.

Spell check weirdness: some words seen as wrong sometimes but not others? Sometimes, for some words, they're marked wrong sometimes but not other times. Also, sometimes for these words, if you right-click on them, there is no option to learn or ignore the word. Let me give you an example of the first problem here: And as for the second problem, when I right-click on say "Harmen" in the "Why, Harmen, why" sentence above, there is no option to ignore/learn.

What is your iPad’s exact model number and what version of the system software is it running?

Hello,

Try updating to iPadOS 13.4.1 to see if it resolves your problem.

Settings > General > Software Update
