Upgrading problems from 2012 to 2019 Macbook Air

I had to upgrade from a 2012 Macbook Air to 2019 Macbook Air because of a problem in the old one.. When I saw the ports on the new computer I was shocked, because it only had two tiny USB ports and no port for the two dongles I have, one of which is to connect to the company internet server and the other one to connect to the barcovision system of the university while teaching. I have been busy looking for adapters or cables all over to enable a connection between my dongles and the computer but to no avail so far. My wireless mouse is also obsolete, I think, and guess I'l have to buy a bluetooth mouse. Can anyone help me putting things in order again?
