LOGICX - FLEX PITCH IS STILL TERRIBLE in 2020.

Why is flex pitch still utterly terrible? I produce high end a cappella tracks along the lines of Jacob Collier complexity (it's quite literally my job), and many times these are for large corporate clients. I'm currently working on an insanely tight schedule for a national commercial spot and I can't get the tune feature to work worth a crap as usual. I've been using logic since 2008 and to my knowledge, this is just an ongoing problem. Melodyne works flawlessly, but the issue is that i hate having to leave logic to tune my stems, and then reimport. Why can't logic get their tuning feature to work that way instead? Does anyone know if there an actual FIX anywhere in the near future?

To be specific, flex pitch creates artifacts no less than 25-30% of the time, especially on large octave jumps. It looks as if flex pitch tries to "correct" the consonant attacks to pitches, like "s" or "C" or whatever, which leaves pops and cracks in the actual wav file. So then the end result is an unusable piece of garbage. To say it frustrates me greatly doesn't even begin to describe the feelings I have right now. Instead of tuning my piece of music, I'm on forums venting to cyberspace.

I've spent far enough of my time, energy and money on Mac, and especially logic to still be dealing with this in 2020. Anyone know why this is still a thing? And to be proactive, YES I now how to use logic. I do all of my mixing and mastering in logic. It's a fantastic program as a whole, minus the unusable instability of flex pitch.

Agreed, here's something I found out with too many mangled songs due to flex pitch. The flex pitch markers operate like midi in that you cant hear the midi note unless you've started playback before the midi note began. So often you'll make an edit, take the playhead back a few bars and no pops or glitches, but if you take the playhead back before the 2 edits ago, the pops come back. The only way to see the if the section is mangled is to play the song from well before your last edit, or just start at the beginning. I find that if you only do 1 edit (that's right just 1) then you probably wont get screwed. Any additional edits and theres a good chance (like 80-90%) you are going to hate how it sounds. Logic has consistently failed in this area.
