How to clear ‘your emergency contacts have been notified’ message.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max. How do you clear your emergency contacts have been notified’ message. Cannot shut down/reset phone.

Try a forced restart of your device:--> Force restart iPhone – Apple Support

When done, go to Settings>SOS Emergencies... and disable "call with side button".

Thanks for responding ...I have disabled all the commands (side button, auto call etc)

It still happens ...I cannot close the screen, bottom left corner and swipe up, close open screens...

Even with the button disabled, the force start does not work when I depress the side and volume button. It used to work before this happened

You don't press the side and volume buttons together. See the link that Giulio provided for the proper procedure to force restart the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
