Spotlight Magnifier / Safari won’t open

Saw similar questions last year but issue was never resolved with anyone. Spotlight Search icon is blinking on and off in my menu bar and Safari will not open, just keeps crashing. I've ran Disk Utililty and reports came back fine.....I've also tried trashing my preferences files on Safari and that didn't help either.

what’s the solution?

You have a bunch of Malware on your Mac. Mackeeper is the worst of them.

Never install a system optimizer on your Mac. Zeobit and Macpaw software needs to all be removed in safe mode using EasyFind from Devon Technologies (shift key reboots in safe mode).

Run Malwarebytes on your system, and Avast to ensure you get as much of it cleaned up as possible.

You have plugins that don't belong there like old browser plugins.

You have made your machine into a bunch of unnecessary bells and whistles, and need to go through a needs analysis of what really is needed.

macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 (17D47) - any specific reason you did not upgrade to 10.13.6? When this is cleaned up, I recommend doing so, in order to get the latest security for this operating system.

Antivirus software: Apple and CleanMyMac - Malware

File sharing: Enabled - only necessary if you are sharing with other Mac users in your vicinity. Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Sharing

Printer sharing: Enabled - only necessary if your printer is not WiFi capable and can't share with other computers over WiFi.

Screen sharing: Enabled - only necessary if you want people to view the content of your Mac from another Mac.

Unsigned Files:

Launchd: /Library/LaunchAgents/com.oracle.java.Java-Updater.plist

Executable: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Resources/Java Updater.app/Contents/MacOS/Java - No reason to be unsigned, you'll want Java from http://www.java.com/

Launchd: /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.citrix.ctxusbd.plist

Executable: /Library/Application Support/Citrix Receiver/ctxusbd

Details: Exact match found in the whitelist - probably OK - is used to run programs on remote sites.

Launchd: /Library/LaunchAgents/com.citrix.AuthManager_Mac.plist

Executable: /usr/local/libexec/AuthManager_Mac.app/Contents/MacOS/AuthManager_Mac

Details: Exact match found in the whitelist - probably OK

Launchd: /Library/LaunchAgents/com.citrix.ReceiverHelper.plist

Executable: /usr/local/libexec/ReceiverHelper.app/Contents/MacOS/ReceiverHelper

Details: Exact match found in the whitelist - probably OK

Running app: /Applications/Pulse Secure.app/Contents/MacOS/Pulse Secure

Safari Extension: Webex Meetings - only necessary if you are doing meetings with other people

Plugin: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/o1dbrowserplugin.plugin - malware, note the funny name with a '1' instead of 'l'

Plugin: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ContentUploaderPlugin.plugin - probably malware for file sharing site.
