Shut down as I log in Ok so I think my Mac is just overload and cant open anymore. I can start it and go to the page of the users but when I enter my password and click enter it shut down and restart. I dont need anything on this computer so I just need to know if I can erase everything ?

iMac not shutting down properly Whenever I restart my iMac after having manually shut it down fully, I get a message saying “You shut down you computer because of a problem” and then asks me if I want to reopen all my previous applications. When I shut down the Mac all looks ok, no error messages or anything and I have tried with all applications closed so potentially there is some system application in the background that isn’t closing down properly. any ideas how I can identify why this is happening?
