The mac Pro won't start up in recovery mode

I've got a Mac Pro 5.1 2010 running high sierra. The mac Pro wouldn't start up in recovery mode, tried everything, searced the web etc. I would like to sell the mac and do a clean install, need some advice how to do it. Is it possible to manually remove all my files from the Macintosh C drive?


Please need same help urgently!

Create a bootable macOS USB installer:

If you have unencrypted hard drives, then I would suggest first enabling Filevault and waiting for the encryption process to complete before erasing the drive(s) and reinstalling macOS, otherwise you would need to perform a secure erase on the drive to write a single pass of zeroes to the drive so your data is not recoverable. Enabling Filevault is just an easier method to writing zeroes to the drive.


Here is an Apple article on how to prepare a Mac for sale (Apple assumes the drive is encrypted):
