I put my iPhone in my pocket, and somehow it went into recovery mode. I searched the answer on the Internet and it told me that to quit recovery mode, I need to press the home button and the side button at the same time. Is that right? Hmm, if I did so, any data loss would happen to my iPhone?

If your iPhone is really in recovery mode then all your data is gone.
