Keypad split in two sides

Tap and hold the little keyboard icon at the bottom right corner, then slide your finger up to select Dock and Merge.

As an alternative solution to that offered by stedman1 - use a finger on each hand to simultaneously touch both halves of the keyboard - then slide your fingers together.
