track pad hardly depressing

when i click track pad, it barely depresses. therefore, for example, when i try to move a doc to, say, another folder, by highlighting and depressing track pad to drag the doc, it cannot grab item or simply does that thing where you change name of doc. Please advise.

I can't get my new Air trackpad to let me drag and drop anything. Can't move icons into Dock. Can't move a file into a subfolder. WTH? Is it me or the trackpad on my new Air? can't drag and drop ANYTHING. Click on a file it jumps to a preview of the doc. Click hold on a file, same thing, click drag it selects multiple files.

How do I drag and drop with the Force trackpad? Downloading new applications still prompts me to drag the file icon to the Applications folder after install, but there doesn't appear to be any way to drag items with the Force trackpad and I don't see anything in the trackpad settings that address this.

Hi Leroydouglas. I feel like an idiot. You solved it. Thanks so very much. I was fearing I had a hardware problem that would require sending it in.
