Can’t login to MacBook Pro 2017

Hi I’m getting this screen when I attempt to start my computer. I couldn’t find the meaning of this screen anywhere. It seems like it might be an issue with trackpad? If I buy a mouse for my computer, could this be a temporary fix?

That screen means either it cannot detect your Bluetooth mouse/trackpad or the laptop's built-in Trackpad isn't working or seen by the system. Using a USB mouse/trackpad should allow you to use the laptop.
