New iPhone and Trade In

If I state that I would like to trade in my old iPhone for a new iPhone I am initially charged the full amount, correct?

If I have difficulties or for some reason don't end up returning my old phone- will I simply not get credited the trade in amount? Or are there other repercussions?

Iphone Trade-In Help Hi all and hope someone can help? I just bought an iphone 13 from our local Apple store but was wanting to trade in an old iphone 11 towards the cost - the sales guy says that I can come back as I need to back the old phone up and transfer photos/ data across to the new phone. He said that I have up to 30days to do this and when done, come back into the store and they will arrange for a trade in and credit my payment of the new phone. I don't want a credit note or gift note, just the value of the trade in phone towards my new purchase. Has anyone else had this done or have I been daft buying it without arranging this online? Feeling a bit silly now as I was wanting the older phone to contribute towards the cost of the new one but don't know if this can be done now as there is no return box etc. Any help would be great to keep my mind at ease! iPhone Trade In I am looking to buy a new iPhone and trade in my old iPhone. Is it possible to apply for trade in on my old phone and then receive the credit for it, buy the new phone with the trade in credit, set it up and then send back the old phone? Or is there an option to reimburse the trade in value to my credit card? Please help, getting my phone in a few weeks and need answers :)

Iphone 13 trade in Hello, i am interested in pre- ordering the new iPhone and was wondering the trade-in would work if the product is going to be shipped to me through mail? will the full amount be deducted or can i give out my old iPhone for trade in after I receive the new one??

No repercussions. See the following from Apple Trade In - Apple

If you haven’t yet shipped your device, you can cancel your trade-in by simply keeping your device.
