I have vizio and Sony TVs. All our iPhones do not show any devices except the phone itself to be chosen for airplay. It worked at one time what happened? We are on latest updates and same WiFi network. Have reset router and TVs and phones with no luck.
One other critical component for AirPlay to work directly on Televisions is the model make and year. Not all Vizio's and Sony TVs capable of WiFi can automatically become compatible with AirPlay.

The vizio just worked like 2 weeks ago and Sony did also awhile back.
