You would need the TV app, which requires a 3rd gen or later model of Apple TV.


If you have a 2nd gen then it doesn't have access, it is classified as obsolete and received an update since 2014. If it were a 1st gen then it doesn't have access to any 3rd party content, lost access to the iTunes store as well as syncing and is considered EOL.
