I've been looking this up FOR HOURS now with no concrete fixes. I've managed to change Google Chrome so it no longer defaults to Yahoo, but Safari is not following.
And before you ask: Yes, I've removed extensions, and yes I've checked the Profiles on my computer. I even downloaded 2 malware removers and NOTHING IS WORKING.

Safari/Preferences/General - see what the Home Page is set to. If something you don't recognize, see if you can replace it with something you want.
Safari menu/Clear History.
Do not download any other programs that are listed in the articles.
