Macintosh HD to macOS 10.15.2

I am trying to download XCODE but as soon as I hit "install' I am getting a message stating XCODE can not be installed on Macintosh HD. macOS version 10.15.2 or later is required. I checked the updated and I don't have any updates that is needed. How do I get macOS 10.15.2 or later? Please help

There is no legit way to install Xcode. I got Xcode_11.3.1.xip from the official repo, trying to extract it to my external SSD using xip -e Xcode_11.3.1.xip 1: I see at the beginning xip: signing certificate was "Software Update" (validation not attempted) What the heck does this mean??? 2: It's trying to unpack the stuff till my entire 256G drive get done (all the space is available for the moment) , then No such file or directory xip: error: The archive “Xcode_11.3.1.xip” failed to be moved to the final destination due to the error: The operation couldn’t be completed. No such file or directory. What's wrong with this OS??? If I wanted to deal with a bunch of issues, I'd chose Linux, at least there's no proprietary soft in there.

You’re probably running Catalina 10.15.1 or earlier. Head over to system preferences>software update and update to macOS Catalina 10.15.4.
