Ipad & Keyboard/Case Question

I just purchase a 12.9" iPadPro and am trying to figure out which keyboard would be best for me to get.

  • Can I still use an iPad keyboard if I have a case on the iPad? (Looking at the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro & Smart Keyboard Folio).
  • Also, if I get a Bluetooth keyboard for my iPad, does that mean that while using the keyboard I will not be able to pair any other devices with the iPad (like my headphones for example)?

STM produce a case, in their DUX range, that can be positioned over a 2018 iPad Pro Smart Folio Keyboard. In addition to buying directly from STM and distributors, it is carried by Apple in the Apple Store.

As to your second question, pairing a Bluetooth keyboard with iPad does not preclude simultaneous pairing of other Bluetooth devices.

The Magic Keyboard and the Smart Keyboard Folio (for second and fourth gen iPad Pros) are a case in and of themselves, they attach to the back of the iPad and fully cover the iPad when not in use.

So cannot be used with other cases.
