I migrated to a new iMac Pro. I want to keep my old iMac, what do I do to it, if I need to?

As my topic says, I migrated from an older iMac to a new iMac Pro. I'm planning on giving my old one to my kids, but I want it to be an independent computer, while still keeping it in my loop of other devices

If you really want to transform it into "an independent computer," you should follow the steps listed in: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support

Explain what "keeping it in my loop of other devices" means to you.

You may want to investigate Family Sharing.
