iMessage not working

My iMessage has suddenly stopped working, it shows up as "Activation Unsuccessful".

I have also tried to log into it on my Mac but it won't let me, I can't get past the log in page but it doesn't flag up to say my details are incorrect.

i have tried restarting my phone several times throughout the day.

Any idea what the problem might be and how to fix it?
