how do I get imac to search for printer on airprint. Tried by deleting in printers and adding but would not find it. Other imac says in use but differs to scanner when need to print.

Bring to AirPrint as I usually do. would not print or search for printer. Deleted printer and tried to add again would not search for printer. Also tried second iMac but it says in use and differs to scanner, won't do it but shows as scan item in queue, and says in use. HP Officejet pro and using Mojave 10.14.6. Just finished printing item 30 minutes before.Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to help. Also shut all systems down and restarted but did not work until I unplugged from power, all devices, then replugged and powered up. Your instructions helped after the iMac started discovery process.

When you proceed to reset the print system, the re-add panel's selection menu will show the last drivers used for the printer, but will also show Auto-Select, and AirPrint, provided the printer is on the list of AirPrint supported devices, is powered on, and on a discoverable network, or supported print server. It is the Auto-Select that determines the printer's AirPrint support, not a search by the printer.
