Apple Music Only Playing Previews of Songs

This just started to happen on my daughters iPhone 8 Plus this evening. Rest of us have newer phones and are not effected. Not sure if the type of phone has something to do with it?

We tried everything on her phone, logging out, deleting and re-installing the app, WiFi and cellular.

She can listen just fine with her Apple ID on her laptop but not on her phone. She’s not happy.

Same thing happening to me. Was listening to music perfectly all day then all of a sudden couldnt play any songs as I would get a message popping up saying “You’re already an apple music member”. I signed out of my Apple ID, restarted my phone, and tried again and same problem happened. I updated my phone and as soon as I did now my app will only play previews.

I have an iPhone XR and the problem is hitting me too, its not because of phone model.

Temporary Fix - Ask Siri to play your playlist and then it works fine for me at least. Still unable to select songs from the actual playlist though.

Im having the same problem on my XS Max. My iPad and MacBook Air are not affected. Not to mention when I shuffle my music, (to actually get songs to play, it buffers for a few minuets...) The settings on my phone and iPad are identical... im hoping the new update helps it.

Weird thing is, the music Is downloaded to my phone, but not my Mac or iPad?

I’ve had the same problem this morning, I wouldn’t suggest signing out of your account and signing back in because as I found out this morning trying it myself, I had to then re-download all my music again and the problem continued to persist.

Same happening to me. Certain songs play fine others only play a preview and pop up with “You are already a member of Apple Music message.”

Appears to me that anything added to my library long ago works fine but anything added recently (within last year) doesn’t work

I have an 8plus and it’s doing the same thing with my Apple Music - I’m only able to play the preview for songs. I tried logging out and back in with no improvement

Try logging in with apple id again on your device.

It fixed itself last night. Must have been an Apple Music bug?

Yep mine is working fine this am - not sure what happened. I downloaded the new iOS last night so not sure if that helped
