Access Denied You don't have permission to access "(wesbite)" on this server.

Hello

I can't get access to a certain website (luisaviaroma) as of yesterday. I know it's a WiFi problem as it does not happen when I open the site on my phone using my data. When using my wifi I get this message:

  • Access Denied You don't have permission to access "(wesbite)" on this server.

I have tried to update and restart the computer, restart internet connection and clearing all info on Chrome (the browser I use) but I still can't access this website.

I'm not very handy with computer settings so I was wondering if anyone knows how to solve this issue?

I also don't use a vpn and only a firewall is active (I also tried to reboot this already). It doesn't work on any web browser.

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,

Matt.

Boot into Safe Mode (How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support) by booting with the Shift key held down and check there to see if the problem persists.  Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.

did you try the mac connected to the phone's hotspot while on cellular?

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT20402

If its an android phone the process is similar.

Use the wifi connection on the Mac to the phone.

If that works then there is nothing wrong with the mac and it points directly to the router or the ISP provider

Being Such a Site...

Run Malwarebytes for Mac, or Create a new user.

Use MalwareBytes for Mac: This is software that searches for Malware (Malicous Software). Such software makes your Mac act in a mislead manor, technically. So, scan with it and then remove what is found. Once removed, uninstall MalwareBytes for Mac. Then restart the Mac.

Downloads:

  1. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac
  2. Malwarebytes uninstaller

If that does not work....

Create a new Administrator user:

Creating a new Administrator user, see if this still occurs while you are logged in as different Administrator user. If it does not occur, then it is something misconfigured in your current user. So, now that it has been created, transfer everything over to the new Administrator, and then delete this current Administrator account. You would be set from there.

There is no adult filter on my wifi and I also rebooted the router but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. I just don't understand how it can suddenly be changed even though I didn't change anything. I looked online for a solution from people that have the same issue and they all seem to tell me to change/disable my VPN but I don't have this. Is that possible?

Anyway, I will try to reboot in safe mode tomorrow morning to see if that might help.

ok so you can access other adult sites ok? These filters are not applied to the router, they ate applied by the ISP. On some countries the default is to assume you are not an adult.

Try this. on the phone turn on cellular data. Then turn on the personal hotspot on your phone and connect the mac to your hotspot.

If you can connect to the site then the Mac is not at fault.

My phone is for some reason not allowing me to do so but I can connect my laptop to another wifi and then it works fine. So I imagine the problem is with that specific wifi connection. I only tried to disconnect the router for 30 seconds and then reconnect it but that didn't help. Is there anything else I can do?

when you say another WIFI do you mean another ISP provider?

If so, I go back to my first post. Ask your ISP why they are blocking it. It may simply be the womens underwear has rated the site 'adult' and you may not have the curb lifted.

I did ask if you can open any well known adult sites (I cant name one here) but you didnt answer. In my country gunshops come into that category.

You also havent said if you have hard reset the router.
