Keystroke recording and seeing me in my camera - Threat email

2018 iMac

I had 2 emails in a week saying they could read my keystrokes and watch me through my camera and would send out information about me to my family etc. I didn't read either fully but deleted both. Theses were dated about 3rd and 7th of this month.

Is this possible.

Detect / Remove a keylogger? I received an email that went straight to spam indicating the sender had installed a keylogger on my computer and copied all my contacts, etc. etc. My concern is, they do actually have one of my passwords (for one or possibly 2 accounts) which they typed into the email threat. Can I just change my password from a different computer or how can I detect whether a keylogger was installed? What steps should I take next to ensure I don't get hacked, etc.? Thanks!

malware controlling webcam I received an email with a password included in the subject line that is a previously common (few years ago) password that I used. The person emailing said that he installed malware on a adult website that I accessed and recorded me and the video being viewed (took control of my webcam). He then said that he had access to all of my contacts via messenger, etc., and that he would said the video he created in full to the entire contact list unless he received 1605$ in bitcoin, and provided the bitcoin account number. Is it possible that he was able to record me and acquire all of my contacts? I have not downloaded any unusual apps, clicked on any unusual pop-ups, or downloaded any software. Thank you.
