How to add a different date on a page in between the document in Pages?

So I'm taking down notes for my lectures on Pages using the note taking template. But since I have classes on different dates sometimes continuing a topic, I wanted to change the date of the document from that particular page I start on the next day. But it keeps changing the date of the whole document instead. So I hope someone can help me with this. How do you change the date in between?

So I'm using a MacBook Pro and my Pages app version is 10.0

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

Place the date in the body of the document, not in the header or footer boxes.

OR

Start a new Section for each date, Specify that Headers and Footers are Different for this section (as opposed to Match the previous section), then enter the new date in the header or footer box of your choice on the first page of the new section.

Section controls have been moved in Pages 10. Here;s a link to a description of the current process which you may find useful Pages 10 and Section Page Numbers - Apple Community

The post is about omitting Page numbers on the first page of a section, but the information on getting to the Section Inspector applies to your question as well.

Barry
