Sorting Playlists (not songs in a playlist)

OK... It is very easy to move songs around in an Apple Music playlist.

I am an Apple Music Family Subscriber...

Why can't I move my playlists around like I can songs???

Seems counterintuitive.

As is, it automatically sorts alphabetically. I have a ton of playlists. My musical tastes vary and I want to get to my preferred playlists quickly... just like preferred songs in a playlist that show at the top.

For example, lately I have been listing to YES. I don't want to scroll down for that.

Please assist.

Joe,

The order of playlists is always alphabetical, as you noticed. However, you can gain a degree of organization by creating playlist folders ( File > New > Playlist Folder ) and moving subsets of playlist into particular folders.

Also, if you are just trying to get one or two playlists to be at the top, as in your "get to my preferred playlists quickly" scenario, you can prepend "!" or a numeral to the playlist name.
