The oldest macBook Pros that will run Mojave or higher are the 2012 models. For now, High Sierra is still supported and getting security updates. It still supports all browsers. You should have no issues for a while running High Sierra.

Being incompatible, I recommend getting a new Mac from none other than the manufacture: Apple. That way, you have coverage, at least for one year.
