Do you want to allow this page to open "News.app"
macOS...just recently, Safari started asking me "Do you want to allow this page to open "News.app"?". The only options are "Cancel" and "Allow". I never use News.app. Ever. If I "Allow", Apple News says it doesn't have the article. If I "Cancel" then nothing. So as it stands, there is no way for me to view the article. Not even by copying the link and pasting it into a new tab or window - News.app still intercepts it.
This is *highly" annoying and I cannot find a way to disable this. Disabling News notifications doesn't make a difference.
This appears to happen primarily when clicking on a news link from a Google image search. I see an image that's interesting and when I click the link - usually some news site - Safari demands that I either use News.app or nothing.
Very, very, very, very, very, very, very frustrating. As a consumer, I want the choice of what to use and not be forced to use News.app.
How do I disable this?
