Mid-2010 iMac still running OS X Yosemite, needs updating

The link to macOS High Sierra gives me the error "this copy of the install macOS High Sierra is damaged and can't be used." Trying to update the OS on this old iMac to utilize school apps for elearning, that won't work with Yosemite. Any ideas on how to upgrade the OS since this Apple link appears to be broken?

iMac 21.5", OS X 10.10

If you find the installer in Applications, open it and try installing High Sierra from it.

If that installer is not working, then move it to the Trash, Empty the Trash and download a new copy.

To download a new copy, go to > How to upgrade to macOS High Sierra - Apple Support

and click on the "Get macOS High Sierra" link in step #4.

Sorry for the late reply, I was having difficulty posting. (my reply was spinning and I kept getting logged out)

The furthest it will go is High Sierra (10.13.6), please open the Mac App Store and upgrade from there. You should have done this years ago!

You can also get 10.13.x by navigating to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208969 , please read this carefully before downloading. You will find a link that says Get Mac OS High Sierra use that to open the Mac App Store and you should see the download for High Sierra. As always PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE backup before doing the upgrade, this is your insurance that your data is safe. Because you have such an old machine, upgrading puts a lot of stress on the HD and doing an upgrade without a working backup can be risky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
