Is it possible to update my iPod Touch iOS 6.1.6 to the latest iOS? I get only a display that my iOS is up to date -- no option under Settings--General--Software Update that will allow me to update or download.

I have iOS 6.1.6 on my iPod Touch. When I go to Settings to try to update the iOS, all it does is display a message that "Your software is up to date." There is no option to Download or Update. What to do??
