Opening Airport Extreme Ports

Hello,

I would like to open my ports and i have an airport extreme router. Unfortunately the only apple device i have other than that is an ipad to fix the settings. I am trying to download torrents but none of them are starting due to my router.

If anyone can walk me through what i need to do from the perspective of an Ipad it would be greatly appreciate.

You need to download the airport utility for iOS from the Apple Store.. it is free.

You need to open the ports then on the Airport Extreme.

See instructions here..

For port forwarding or mapping to be useful the airport extreme must be the only router in your network. And frankly it is a lot easier to replace it with standard UPNP supported router. Apple do not support UPNP and so make it 10x harder for doing stuff like torrents.
