A product may have a higher perceived value in one country compared to another country. A common brand may have a perceived high value in one country and could be sold as a premium brand there, enabling the company to charge a higher premium. Even the cost of doing business in a country can affect prices.
Look, Aplle said that the price of "SE" 2020 is 400$ for 64G, ok!
In Egypt you will find it worth 500$
..??
and there is no official store in Egypt
and ofcourse the site never shipped it to my location
Where is the “official price” that you are looking at? The price for a phone will vary by region due to import fees.
Canada.
Why can't I see that in other phones...
Like Samsung it's nearly the same price..??!
Each manufacturer will set their own base price for a product. Even if Samsung is selling an Apple phone on their web site, they still decide price they want to sell it at.
But how can I get the best price ..?
I don't have an official Apple store here.
So, what are you using to determine the “official price”?
Yeah, and in my country it is at least $600 from all sources as opposed to $400. There is absolutely no reason to believe the prices will be the same worldwide.
600$ ???????
Where are you from?🤔🤨
As a serious question, does the $599 include HST and GST, or is that added on at the time of purchase?
Unfortunately no, taxes are added at time of purchase. In my case it would be 15% on top of the $599.
Ouch!
Ouch indeed. But, the $599 is far more appealing than the $979 starting price of the iPhone 11.
How’s that for a glass half full kinda view 😁?
I like it. But I also subscribe to the engineer’s view. The glass is twice as large as it needs to be.
