My iPhone 8 plus wont let me slide on the screen in any direction.
Been trying to do a soft reset to try to fix it but can't slide the bar.
Have also tried multiple times to do a hard reset but using the volume and power button like it says on the support page is not working either.

I think that you are performing the forced restart incorrectly. This is how to do it.
iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.

I’m having the same problem and your solution is not working either. I do appreciate your willingness to help. Any other suggestions? I’m desperate and frustrated. Thanks in advance!
