I have a mid (2012) Mac Pro and I have been trying everything to upgrade just to High Sierra and can't seem to do it. I've tried everything I can think of. Anyone have any ideas?

I've tried to go to the app store to get a download of high sierra and somehow did, but when i tried to open it there was an error message that it was a corrupted file or something was wrong with it. Then i tried to delete what I downloaded and look for it again in the app store and now I can't even access it in the app store. There's always an error message when looking for high sierra. Anyone have any idea how i can upgrade this? I did this all because i want to upgrade my garage band, but it needs a version greater than 10.13. Currently sierra is only 10.12.6

Well the way to get High Sierra is through the App Store.

Click on this link, How to upgrade to macOS High Sierra - Apple Support

Go to Section 4 and click on Get macOS High Sierra.

Make sure you are using Safari to access and that your mac is connected to

your router via cable, Wi Fi is too unreliable. Do not use the mac while it is

downloading, or any other devices that share the internet connection.

When you open the App Store High Sierra page it should say 'Get'

if it says 'Open' then the App Store has detected a copy of Install macOS High Sierra.app

on your mac. Open your Applications folder locate the installer and move it to the

Trash, empty the Trash. Restart your mac and try again.

The full download is about 5.23GBs so will take some time.

If your MacPro has a 'Metal' capable graphics card you could try installing macOS Mojave,

read all the instructions about the MacPro.
