Let's see if we can get any clues...

EtreCheck is a simple little app to display the important details of your system configuration and allow you to copy that information to the Clipboard. It is meant to be used with Apple Support Communities to help people help you with your Mac.

http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck

Pastebin is a good place to paste the whole report...

Or use the paperclip at the bottom of a Reply to attach the full report here. :)

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck.

You have rather a lot of add-ons installed, but to your credit, NONE are using as much as 1 percent of CPU, and I do not see any known "bad-Actors".

But you need a side trip before proceeding. Your boot disk is too full. it has only about 17GB still available -- far too little. You could eat ALL of that and more by deep sleep aka hibernate (which would attempt to store a "snapshot" of your 32GB of RAM and explode).

Consider connecting your backup drive more often and letting Time Machine run to completion, rather than storing its temporary snapshots on the Boot drive.

Some Users like to use the free OmniDiskSweeper, which despite it name does NOT sweep anything automatically. it just takes a few minutes to compute sizes, and finds the biggest things on your drive. Then you can take effective action quickly (by moving BIG things somewhere else in some cases).
