Should i run Norton Clean? I have a macbook pro running macOS High Sierra v. 10.13.6. (I have norton security 8.5.5 installed on this mac)

Not only should you not run it you should uninstall Norton Security according to their instructions. Antivirus/Security/ Cleaning programs are not needed on a Mac and can cause numerous problems.

Symantec Norton is the most likely anti-virus to cause your Mac to panic.
Many 3rd party anti-virus packages panic macOS. They all want to look at things without taking the proper precautions when working inside your kernel. Eventually they get caught, and your Mac panics.
