I have a code from Best Buy for 4 months free of Apple Music. When I went to sign up for Apple Music it only offered me a 1-month trial. I accepted that thinking that it would then ask me for a code - which it did but it will not accept the code from Best Buy. The Best Buy code expires 6/30/2020. How can I get the four months free trial?

The Best Buy offer has this caveat: "This Promotional offer is only for first time subscribers to Apple Music." That leads me to believe that the 4 months is the 3 months Apple Music trial and one month from Best Buy. If you have already used the free trial, the BB offer will only get you one month.
Or, if you have not used the 3 month free trial yet, contact Best Buy Customer Service and ask them to fix it.
