Is 64gb enough for an ipad?

Hello beautiful people.

Its worth to buy the base model ipad mini 5 for studies? I'm a student and i want to replace my old trusty ipad air 2 (16gb) for a new ipad. Software support is critical for me. I want an ipad that will be supported for at least 4 years. Ipad 10.2 seems good but sadly the old A10 fusion chip is the killer issue. So far the ipad mini 5 is my budget option.

iPad Air 2, iPadOS 13

My personal experience with the 2019, 10.2 inch screen, 7th gen iPad is the older iPhone 7, A10 Fusion chip works just fine in a larger screen iPad.

It's my wife's iPad 7th gen and I have used this from time to time and the A10 Fusion chip seems to work just fine with a larger screen iPad.

No issues from what I can see.

It seems faster and with 1 GB more RAM than your iPad Air 2 with the A8X chip inside and 2GBs of RAM.

Maybe you should look at YouTube video reviews of the 2019 iPad 7th gen.

Most are very favorable toward this iPad.

It runs the exact same iPadOS as every other newer iPad model and supports the 1st gen Apple Pencil, too!

The only real issues is that the iPad 7th gen uses an older non-laminated screen, where all other newer iPad moddls have laminated screens.

But you do not get every bell and whistle in a budget, base model iPad.
