I took my iPhone in for repairs on March 9, 2020. Seven weeks later there has been no progress on the repair. I've tried contacting support but there is never a customer service rep available. I would highly recommend not submitting your phone for repair through Apple. I now refer to Apple as the new Comcast-- they are available to sell you a product but not available to support their devices.
Every email I send to your support/repair dept. comes back with this reply: we cannot accept your phone until you switch off the 'Find my Phone'. I have tried over and over, apparently with success though from the repair dept they say it has not been removed and tell me the phone must be switched off !!!!!!!
Now please understand - I can not switch the phone off - Part of the problem.

Click the "Contact Support" link on upper right corner of this forum for your issues with busted screen.
Do you realize the current situation we all dealing with right now? Like COVID-19 pandamic? You have to keep trying to contact Apple Support, and wait it out.
I broke my iPad Pro 3rd generation screen and I sent it in after requesting a repair service.
After 2 weeks I got a replacement back, all is good.
