I lately have a (dark shaded) window popping up with the message ‚Sending‘ which I can cancel or accept. Does anyone know how to get rid of that message (permanently)?

You could try reseting all settings:

Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings


This reset will not delete any data from your iPad, but will hopefully interrupt/stop and background Apps that you may have running on your iPad. However, as a precaution, you might be best advised to ensure that you have a current iCloud or iTunes backup before doing so.
