Question: iPad Pro not updating

Every time I try to install iPadOS 13.4.1 I get an error message saying "iPadOS 13.4.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet."

This is the third time I have had this issue. The first time I was able to connect my iPad Pro to my laptop using the charging cord and an adapter, the second time the adapter didn't work so I went to Best Buy and they had to "hard reset" it. After that I had to setup my iPad like I had just got it and although that maybe took 5-10 minutes, it was still a hassle and I don't want to have to do this every time there's an update. I would try the adapter again but due to whats going on in the world I cannot access it until further notice. I have reset my network settings, turn my wifi and airplane mode on and off, tried it with and without cellular data on, held down the volume then lock button, deleted the update and tried it again and I do not have a VPN downloaded. My iPad is working perfectly fine when I have to do school work with my wifi and cell service. I feel like I have tried everything, someone please help!!

Answer:

I’m sorry you are having this issue with your iPad Pro. It’s unclear exactly what Best Buy did as a “hard reset.” Based on your need to set it up again (or restore from iCloud backup), I will assume they did an “Erase all Content and Settings” or a restore. If they did a restore, that process should have updated the iPad Pro to iPadOS 13.4.1. If that is the case, you may not see this issue again with future updates to iPadOS.

Hi thanks for your help! I believe they did a restore, but that was back in December 2019 so that I can have the 13.4 software that I have right now. I don't want to have to restore my iPad every time there is an update so I'm not sure what to do.
