Need to eject one external HDD using DiskUtility. How to indentify?

I have 8 external HDDs in two 4-drive cases connected via Thunderbolt and I need to re-initialize and format one. They have the same model number and same size. Using DiskFutility how can I know which one is the correct drive? I can't see a serial number in the get info window. I can't make the drives blink a light. If the drives are named the same what are my options?

I did write the SN on the outside of the driver carrier.

That I have to spend time trying to solve this rubric, priceless.

Sorry, that doesn't show a drive's serial number or help me differentiate between mounted drives.

If it's not possible to isolate the drive based on serial number then I think from this point forward I will name the drives with their serial number.

Apple clearly has a way to add the SN information to the get info box. Not sure what advantage there is in leaving this information out. Years ago in the previous versions of DiskUtility this information was available.
