Question: Siri Shortcuts

Hi,

I recently invested into making my home a smarthome. Purchased bulbs, strips, Apple TVs and Airplay 2 supported speakers by Sonos. And I started to use Siri Shortcuts, and specifically, the automations.

I have written an automation which does the following:

  • When my alarm is turned off in the morning:
  • Siri connect my phone to my Sonos speaker;
  • Siri turns on all my bedroom lights;
  • Siri tells me what the weather is going to be;
  • Siri tells me anything that is on the agenda for the day;
  • Siri finishes off by playing one of my playlists.

Now, while writing the code everything went smoothly and as expected. Even when playing back the whole script everything goes fine. However, this morning, when I actually used it as a whole (so including the trigger of turning off my alarm). It actually did not work. Well, it works but the audio is not coming from my Sonos speaker but from my iPhone. While when playing back the script, the audio actually does come from the Sonos speaker.

Is this something that is known as a bug? Or is there any suggestion any of you know of to get the audio playback on my speaker?

Please let me know!

Edit: The audio that Siri “voices” is played from my iPhone. The playlist at the end actually does come from my Sonos speaker. So it is not the case that the automation failed to connect to my Sonos speaker.
