Dell Monitor not connecting

Trying to connect a Dell 34" 4K Monitor to a 2019 MacBook Pro 13" Updated Last version Catalina using a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter. The Mac doesn't recognise the monitor.

That is not a ThunderBolt-2 display, so the ThunderBolt-3 <--> ThunderBolt-2 adapter is the wrong adapter. That adapter only passes Thunderbolt Display signals ONLY -- you need [full size] DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort.
