I just bought a new iPad Pro and would like to transfer photos from my old iMac OS X Version 10.4.11.
Before I buy any connection cables etc, I would like to know if this is at all possible and if so, how?

Hello, thank you for your quick reply. I should have explained maybe a bit more about my old iMac. I bought it in 2003! It still connects to the internet, but most of the software could no longer be updated, so uploading to the iCloud is unfortunately not an option. What I could do is transfer the photos to an sd card and then transfer from the card to the ipad. I have no idea however if this would lead to success.
Simply put your photo library in iCloud and turn on iCloud for both devices and the problem is solved.
Yike's that is pretty ancient Mac. Honestly I don't know, the computer is just so old what I would recommend is putting the library on an EHD or SD card until you can figure out how to import them.
