Question: Fn+Cmd+F11 does not work after upgrade to Catalina 10.15.4

I upgraded my Macbook to Catalina 10.15.4 over the weekend and ever since then touch bar is behaving weirdly. I cannot drag the volume controls to increase or decrease the volume however clicking on smaller or larger speaker icon on volume control works (on touch bar). The biggest problem that I have is Fn+Cmd+F11 is not working at all. I have few controls that needs F11 to be functional, but its just not working. It was working all along until I was on 10.15.3. Any idea on how do I get it working. Clearing NVRAM or terminal sudo kill isn't helping at all.

Hello mithil2906,

Thanks for posting! I'd want to make sure my Touch Bar was responding as expected also, and I'll be happy to see how much assistance I can offer for this issue. It sounds like your volume controls and F11 on your Touch Bar aren't responding.

Are you running into any other unexpected behavior with your Touch Bar?

Under System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard, do you see a "Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" checkbox? If so, make sure it is checked and see if that helps.

If it doesn't, I recommend testing this issue in a newly-created administrator account to determine if the issue is system-wide or user-specific: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac. Log in to the new user account and test to see if you can replicate the issue there. Feel free to reply back with the results!
